It has been awhile since we have seen each other--since our volunteer/summer job days at the Center for Disability Services, but when I heard the sad news, many fond memories of your mom came flooding back as if it were yesterday. I felt I was her "honorary daughter" since I knew her since early teenage years, then worked with her at the Center for many years as an "adult" professional.
