Obituary for Audrey D. Poplaski (Hall)

Dateline – Malta, NY
Audrey D. Poplaski, age 73, of Burton Road, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. She was born on August 4, 1944 in Phoenix, Arizona and was the daughter of the late James William and Ruth Alice (Skelton) Hall.
Audrey had a long and fulfilling career as an Executive Assistant at the Center for Disability Services in Albany. After working there, she continued as an Executive Assistant in Corporate Woods before retiring in 2006. Audrey also served as secretary to several boards as well.
Although she loved her career, Audrey’s greatest joy was raising her family. She felt each child and grandchild was a singular precious gift. She passed on her gifts of seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, counting her blessings as well as her humble appreciation and love of life.
Audrey had many talents which included her flair for cooking, crafting and a sharp mind for business.

She was the beloved wife of Richard “Rick” Poplaski for 53 precious years; loving mother of Richard “Rick” Poplaski, and Virginia (Scott) Mintz; grandmother of Richard “Ty” and Lauren Poplaski and Zachary, Adyn and Logan Mintz; caring sister to Marjorie (Roger) Ford and Frederick “Fred” (Bernie) Hall. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.
