Lois Eileen Armstrong, age 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Lois was born on September 29, 1929 in Schenectady, NY to the late Asbury and Grace (Constantine) Porter.

Lois graduated in 1947 from Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Donald, who she married in 1949 and together, they raised two children. Lois found her true calling as a homemaker for her loving family.

Lois enjoyed boating and camping with her family and tending her beautiful perennial gardens.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Diane (Tom) Houck of Rotterdam and Kraig (Mary-Louise) Armstrong of Glenville; granddaughter Erikka Burns; and 4 great granddaughters; Raegan (Cody) Sheroka; Jaedyn, Rheana & Shaeli Gravell; sister-in-law Eileen Powers and many nieces and nephews.

Lois is predeceased by her sisters Doris Cerniglia and Adele Willey.

Interment will be held in the spring at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

A special note of appreciation to the staff at Schenectady Center for their compassionate care of Lois.
