Obituary for Linda Barnett (Ricciardi)

Linda J. Barnett, age 68, of Fort Hunter Road, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY. She was born on November 7, 1948 in Schenectady, NY and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Borowski) Ricciardi. Linda was a graduate of Mt Pleasant High School and was a lifelong Schenectady resident. She worked as a bank teller at Trustco Bank and in the business office at Ellis Hospital. Earlier, she worked at the Big N in Schenectady where she met her loving husband, John. She was a devoted daughter to her late mother, Helen, whom she cared for in her later years. She was also an animal lover and was very fond of her loving dog, Bailey.
Linda leaves behind her husband, John, her son, Chris and his wife Deena, her brother, Ralph Ricciardi of Glenville, NY, and several loving cousins.
Relatives and close personal friends are invited and may call on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home and then process to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady, NY 12303 where at 11:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Pagones.
Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, NY.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mohawk Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204. The family also wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring nurses and physician at St Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam for their caring, compassion and kindness.
