Obituary for Marlene Cooper Andress

Marlene (Cooper) Andress, age 85, of Burnt Hills, died on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She was born on June 28, 1932 in Albany, NY and was the daughter of the late Spencer and Helene (Kindt) Cooper. She is a graduate of Ithaca College and during her life she worked as a Physical Therapist for G.E., an Elementary school teacher for Schenectady City Schools, and a house mother for the Charlton Girls School.
Mrs. Andress was a long-time and active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glenville. She generously volunteered her extra time for Schenectady Home Furnishings by organizing a White Elephant sale, at the church, for over 20 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Otto Andress who died in 2015; loving mother of Kurt (Donna) Andress, Eric (Nancy) Andress, Kathryn Andress, David Andress and Laura Houlihan; cherished grandmother of Damien, Spencer (Sarah Narkiewicz), Lauren, Shannon, Tyler, Stefanie, Shaylee and Tristan; sister of the late Spencer Cooper and Sheldon Cooper.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.at Townley and Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Rd., Ballston Lake, NY.
Funeral service will be on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 547 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY. Pastor Deron Milleville will officiate.
Interment will be private in Memory Garden’s Cemetery, Colonie, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
