Within the first 24 hours of your loved one’s death,
you will need to meet with a funeral home to
begin the final arrangements.
The following information will help you prepare for the arrangement conference. Our staff will be there to do their utmost to make this difficult time a little bit easier. The Funeral Director will guide you in making all the necessary decisions. It’s good to know you are not alone.
The Funeral Director will tell you that the first step in caring for your loved one involves completing and filing the Death Certificate and Burial or Cremation permit.
To assist the funeral home in preparing all the necessary documents, it’s helpful to bring some of the following things with you:
Bring clothing with you if needed and a photograph
We will use any clothing that you should bring to us including all undergarments and shoes or slippers. If you have jewelry for your loved one, feel free to bring it and we will place it properly for the wake and then give it back to you before final disposition. Remember that a photograph is very helpful to get an understanding of your loved ones natural look.
If you’ve got questions about the legal documents or clothing and jewelry you should bring with you, please contact us.
We understand that it is not always possible to pay respects in person, & hope that this small token will help. You can search for your loved one using the search box below.
